About Two Sparrows Village
Two Sparrows Village at Christian City is an inclusive neuro-diverse housing option for adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.
Two Sparrows helps those with intellectual challenges to live in an accepting community with neurotypical adults.
As children with special needs grow older and age out of the education system, living arrangements for those with intellectual disabilities are limited. Two Sparrows Village provides a supportive living environment that promotes greater independence and an exceptional quality of life for adults with lifelong challenges.
The Two Sparrows Village Cottage at Christian City is situated in the middle of the campus, it provides individual apartment-like suites for residents along with common areas, including a kitchen, and office space for supportive staff. Each suite includes a living area with separate bedroom, bath, and a butler’s pantry outfitted with a small refrigerator, microwave, and sink.
Residents are welcomed – and encouraged – to participate in Christian City campus activities and volunteer opportunities.
In addition to its residential services, Two Sparrows Village provides day programs for special needs adults who have aged out of the school system.
Approximately 6.5 million people in the US have an intellectual disability. Currently, 90% of adults with disabilities are living at home with aging parents who may or may not be able to adequately care for them.
