Philippians- Words of Wisdom for 06/22/2021 “PLANS”

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.

– Philippians 1:27a

THIS question can be asked, “What is going to happen next?

WHETHER things are going good or bad, there is a desire to figure out what will come our way next. We can have our future all planned out, but what happens if the plans fail?

THE world we live in is ever changing. Nothing stays the same. So yes, what happens next does matter. We must learn to put our trust into the hands of the only One that knows exactly what will happen next. God loves us so much that he sent his son to die on the cross for us. He knows what is next for us and in His timing all things will be revealed.

WHEN trusting God with what happens next, one will see the burdens of everyday life begin to ease. As Christians, we should not only read the Gospel but live the Gospel. When we think about what will happen next, we must instinctively trust God for the answer. Though it may be hidden from us, God already knows the results. We should remember the words that Jesus said, “not my will be done but Your will be done.”

WITH God as our Heavenly Father, we will show the world that, as Christians, our next moments in life are always guided by Him. Our response should be the example others would want to follow. People watch how Christians respond to the circumstances of life and our example should always be pleasing to God.

Lord, let me be focused on the present and let you lead me through what is next. Amen.
