And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:17
From the very first days of envisioning the ministry to orphan boys, the founding ministers and area Christian leaders who made up the dream team, felt compelled to launch something that would meet a need, honor God and point people to Jesus Christ.

As the orphanage evolved into organized group homes for boy and girls, and then as programs were added to meet the needs of senior adults, the mission was always the same—minister to all in the name of Jesus.

Today, as the organization has expanded to include affordable housing, retirement villages, programs for rescuing teenagers, nursing and rehab, assisted living, dementia care, and so much more, the commitment to the mission remains the same—to love God by loving our neighbors, especially those who are marginalized, broken and vulnerable.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
James 1:27

A spiritual atmosphere encompasses the Christian City campus. Every day, somewhere across the hundreds of acres, there are Bible studies, people praying together and many conversations about how God is alive and active.
Full-time and volunteer chaplains visit residents in assisted living and nursing facilities. Precious individuals, who call this special place “home” are cared for, prayed over and continually being offered opportunities to keep growing in their faith.
Christian City has cared for widows and orphans, and many others, in the name of Jesus for over 50 years. We still do.
