Mark is originally from Pennsylvania but has called Georgia home for most of the past 27 years. He did his undergraduate work at Johnson University and graduated with a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling from Lincoln Christian Seminary. He completed additional graduate work at the University of West Georgia and is currently completing requirements toward the Doctor of Ministry Degree in Youth, Family and Culture from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA.

Most recently, Mark served as Director of Internships and Interim Executive Director of Christian Encounter Ministries (CEM) of Grass Valley, CA (a residential counseling ministry to broken and hurting young people) from 2008 to 2016. He has been married to Lisa for 35 wonderful years. Mark and Lisa live in Newnan and have two adult children, Michael and Sara, who also live in the Atlanta area.
