Anna Tibbetts

I was born and raised in Rome, Georgia, and lived there until I moved to Athens to pursue a degree in Social Work at the University of Georgia. After deciding four years in my favorite city was simply not enough time, I stayed in Athens to pursue my Masters in Social Work. My background reflects experience in public and private child welfare, including internships with the Athens-Oconee CASA program, the Division of Family and Children Services in Walton County, and serving as a family visitation supervisor. I also have experience in assisting with training development for Wraparound Intensive Services and Trauma-Informed Care.

My passion for child welfare emerged while working with the CASA program, where I recognized how resilient children can be when they are given the opportunity and resources to thrive. I think this is one of the things that appeals to me most about working in child welfare is that each day presents an opportunity to do something that makes someone else’s life better. I am excited to be a part of the amazing work that Crossroads is doing in the lives of children and families!
