Engaged seniors lead richer, more satisfying lives. Retirement living at Christian City gives you the chance to be as busy as you want to be with plenty of opportunities for social engagement, physical wellness, entertainment, and spiritual fulfillment. We believe in encouraging our residents to live vibrant lives, which may look different for each individual resident.

Our full-time Director of Campus Recreation plans a calendar of activities and events so that there are plenty of opportunities for you to engage in activities you love, try out something new, and meet new friends while you’re at it. And with the completion of our new Senior Recreation Center and addition of new outdoor amenities, life is getting even better at Christian City!

Brand New Recreation Center and Outdoor Amenities Completed!

Christian City is committed to helping our residents live their best lives. One of the ways we are achieving this is with the completed renovation of one of our old children’s cottages into a brand new Senior Recreation Building. This 4500 sq. ft. building will be a community hub for our older adult residents. The open, multipurpose room will fill a variety of functions: our residents will have the opportunity to attend speaking events on topics that are important to them, play video games, such as Wii Bowling, on a large-screen tv, attend intergenerational programs, such as computer classes taught by local students and more. The building will play host to exercise classes that focus on strength and balance, be a meeting site for our Crochet and Knitting Clubs, and allow residents from all over our campus to come together in fellowship.

We’ve also recently added on to our campus amenities. Residents can now enjoy bocce, shuffleboard, a walking track, and a putting green!
