Rhonda believes the best way to get to know Christian City is through real stories of people touched by the ministries here – children, seniors and their families. She enjoys meeting senior residents, volunteers, and people who lived at Christian City during their childhoods as they share their inspiring stories of faith, love, service and hope for eternal life.
Rhonda’s career includes a variety of positions in marketing, advertising and communications with nonprofit organizations and print media. After graduating from UGA’s College of Journalism, she joined Gannett and USA Today in Philadelphia. Five years later, she returned to her home state of Georgia with a renewed love for the south!
She fondly recalls the excitement surrounding the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta and creation of beautiful Centennial Olympic Park while working at the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. Patient stories were the highlight of her communications role at Tanner Medical Foundation. From new moms to cancer survivors and hospice care patients, she was honored to convey their stories about the trials and triumphs that made them stronger.
Rhonda is a member of Douglasville First United Methodist Church. Her son is in the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M.
