Marlond’s passion for at-risk- youth and service excellence has allowed him to serve in various positions at Christian City over the last 15 years. He previously enjoyed raising funds for the Children’s Village as the Director of Graceland Thrift Store. Marlond also served hundreds of young men and women as Houseparent and Team Lead & Crisis Manager at the Children’s Village. He currently serves as the Quality Assurance Specialist, where he is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the quality of services provided by both the Children’s Village residential program and the Crossroads Foster Care Program.

Marlond graduated from Point University with a B.S in Human Relations. He is a married to his sweetheart, Lanna Fyffe, and they have two children: Josiah (5) and Jon-Ezra (2).

Marlond is passionate about helping individuals and organizations live at their best and his philosophy on service is summed up in the following words from Dr. King’s The Drum Major Instinct: “Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don’t have to know Einstein’s theory of relativity to serve. You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love”.
