In 2011, our home was used in the movie Joyful Noise as Dolly Parton’s home. We enjoyed the chance to meet her – she’s tiny and lovely – exactly the same as she comes across in public. My favorite review of the movie was titled “Is it awfully good or just plain awful?” If you are in the mood for a very cheesy but uplifting movie with wonderful music, you’ll enjoy it.
Favorite Leisure Activity:
Spending time with my family. I have four children in college and am blessed to have healthy, active and loving parents nearby. My husband is a pretty cool guy, too.
The Princess Bride – be careful or I’ll begin to share quotes. My husband refuses to watch this movie with me anymore.
Yellow – happy and bright – always lifts my spirits! My first car was a yellow Mustang.
I really love ALL music. Music has the ability to connect people from all different backgrounds, to cause us to experience emotion, to inspire and motivate, and to energize our brains. I’m so proud that Christian City provides musical opportunities for our residents.
What’s so Great About Christian City?
The incredible devotion of Christian City staff – whether working with children, with senior adults or focused externally, there is an evidence of passion and of working for the good of others. I love being a part of it!
