Union City – Owens Corning recently provided a tour of their Fairburn facility for Christian City’s President and CEO, Bob Crutchfield, and Fund Development Specialist, Ashley Bonner. While there, the two were also presented with a generous donation of $3,500 in support of The Children’s Village. Owens Corning is a leading producer of building materials and glass-fiber reinforcements. They are also long-time supporters of The Children’s Village. “Through both monetary contributions and in-kind donations, Owens Corning has been a valued partner in the work we do for children in need,” said Crutchfield. “If it weren’t for the generosity of businesses like these, The Children’s Village could not operate. We’re very grateful for this gift and for Owens Corning’s continued support.” The Children’s Village is a 501(c)3 non-profit located in Union City. Since 1965 it has offered life services and a safe haven for children in crisis, aged 5-17. The majority who come to the program are victims of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Christian City offers them a welcoming home environment, loving house parents, and a chance to heal and grow. For more information visit www.christiancity.org, or call 770-703-2636.
